About Dallas White Rock Marathon

One of the best marathons in the nation and a premier Texas running event, the 2010 MetroPCS Dallas White Rock Marathon features a great course with maximum entertainment value per mile. Our volunteer staff is made up of runners, who have collectively pooled all our best running experiences and put them together to provide our participants a phenomenal race day! We do this because the race benefits Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, providing exceptional care to children without charge to patient families. We’ve made more changes this year, responding to the feedback we received after last year’s race, and are excited about what we have to offer you!

Registration Capped at 22,000 – Register Early!
This year's registration will be capped at 22,000 total participants. This total includes all marathon, half and relay participants. Online registration closes on November 26, 2010, at 11:59 p.m. Register early - we sold out in advance the past few years!

Races and Activities

Full Marathon:

The course begins and ends in Fair Park and runs through downtown Dallas and out to and around scenic White Rock Lake, with so much course entertainment that you might forget you're running a marathon! The 26.2-mile certified course is mostly flat with some rolling hills. Along the way, runners pass through the wooded Turtle Creek area, prestigious Highland Park, around White Rock Lake, through beautiful Lakewood and down the Swiss Avenue historical district.

Half Marathon:

The half marathon also begins and ends in Fair Park. The new half marathon course is all new this year and will encompass the new Santa Fe Trail on the last part of the journey back to the finish at Fair park. More details regarding the half course will be provided on the official race web site (RunTheRock.com) towards the end of summer.
