I am so proud that I helped a friend run their first marathon...just to find that they did not get a "Finisher's" shirt, but a second shirt just for finishing the marathon.  How can you waste your money on a finisher's shirt that doesn't even say "finisher" on it?  This race is suffering....no shirts...yes shirts...opps, a finisher's award shirt, but not a "finisher" shirt....

Get your act together boys and girls.  This was once a good race...and I miss the rock shop almost as much as the hot food and beer.

Thanks, Dallas, this was a awsome race, and the fans and people who helped make the race possible were great. I cant wait till next year.

Thanks Dallas, had an awesome trip from across the pond.  Hospitality great, expo good, pasta night fantastic.  Have to say one of the best races I have run in, little dissapointed the last 10K I fell to bits and I didn't get the PB but hey the support was great as was the welcome my family and I recieved from every one we met.  The only let was later that day when the Cowboys let me down but hey the memories of my Dallas trip are priceless and we are already talking of a future return. Thanks again to everyone that mader the day happen..

Anna:  In the final instructions that you get at packet pick-up it says you can bring your own bag it just needs to have your name and bib number clearly attached to the outside of it.

Does anyone know what's up with gear bag check tomorrow? Do we have to use the packet pickup bag or will they check a personal gym bag? The packet pickup bag says to use that--- but concern #1-- it doesn't close. ???

I agree, thanks Amanda. I got to thinkin about it and I'm just gonna have to try it next year if not at all. Afterall, our ancestors were running marathons and finding each other after races long before cell phones existed.

Mark-my advice is race day isn't the day to experiment with anything new spibelt, etc...  Makes for a long race if ur uncomfortable. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

I use the dual pocket Spit Belt wiith much success. Fits a phone and keys on one side and a half dozen gus on other.

That's Spi belt not spit belt.

Driving down really isn't that bad. If you're trying to arrive and park at 7 and after, sure. It's going to suck. Get there early enough and you'll be fine. Especially if you're doing the full - you won't have to deal with as much traffic and headache at the end of the race as the half folks will

Mark, when I carry my cell while running on occasion, I have an Amphipod pocket that comfortably clips to the top of my shorts.  It will hold a Blackberry without the neoprene case and a hotel key and maybe one GU squeezed in there.
