I was born and raised in Kansas.  After living in California for three short years, I moved to Dallas in October '07. I joined the DRC in January 2008 to train for the OKC Half Marathon.  After running for four months in the training program and finishing the OKC Half Marathon I'm addicted.

The marathon wasn't the only reason I joined.  I really needed to get my lazy hind-end off the couch. Before joining the club, I was terrified of running.  I have never really stuck with any workout program.  I would always quit after a couple of weeks when I wouldn't see any results.  Running is different though; especially running with the DRC!  I have made so many great friends that encourage and motivate me to go the extra mile!  I have become a pace leader for the DRC to hopefully help others who also might be a little afraid to start running and to give back a little to everything the club has given me.

I am going to try to come run with your group Sat morning since I have my marathon under my belt.  The only exception would be if I stay out too late on Friday.  Since I haven't had a Friday night social event in many, many moons I am planning on one for this Friday.  :)

Ha Ha!  Bryan surprised me with a kiss. . . We had such a great time.  Thanks for letting us do this.  Sounds like everyone did a really fantastic job!  Thanks again!

Thank you!  You did so great!! You have come so far since you started running.  You should be very very very proud of yourself.  It is a lot of work and look at you now!!  You are rockin it out there!
