About Nikki Davis

I started running in 2003, did my first 5k within 30 days and was hooked from that race on. I'm  working on my fourth training series with Dallas Running Club as Head Coach. I've done countless 5k’s to Half Marathons, along with few Marathons.  MY favorite distance – “Half Marathon” and my second favorite distance “My house to Starbucks”.

Scratch that - I'm not going to be able to leave work early.  I'll just hit the lake by myself.  You guys have a good run.

You want to meet Ed at Albertsons?  I can be there by 5:45p, I think.

Let me see if I can leave work a little early.  If so, I can meet you early.  Running Katy Trail sounds like fun.

It was awesome.  We had a lot of fun and the route was great!  I was not enjoying the lake, but as soon as we turned off into the neighborhoods, I had a better time.  I was pretty sore and I slept a lot yesterday, but no REAL pain.  YAY!  One of our runners dropped out early on because of her knee and then she showed up in her car on Empire with chicken biscuits from Chik Fil A for everyone.  ;o)  Almost everyone finished under 4 hours and we enjoyed our doughnuts at the clubhouse.

Hey Nikki, thanks for asking. Me and George pushed a very steady 9:30min/mile pace. It was a beautiful day and a better run. I never ran that long and the experience of being able to talk to someone was entertaining (I always ran by myself). I'll be out of town the next two weekends (Oklahoma and Arizona), but maybe I'll make it to the weekday runs, if you have any. Enjoy what remains of your weekend.

Thanks for the comment Nikki- it was a good race overall. I am happy that the hills did not seem as tough as last year (because we practiced them!) see you soon.
