About Tom Jeffries

Just a man trying to keep a hold of his youth or at least look better doing it. I am probably in the best shape of my life for my age. I am 46.8 but my RealAge is 40.7. It gets me pumped to pass anyone younger than 40 and really jazzed if they are under 30. And don't even ask me what it feel likes to pass a dude who in his 20s... Besides pushing myself as hard as I can I also like to influence others to give just a little more then they think they can. I didn't have a picture of myself to post, will need to get one. But I am 6ft, with thinning salt & pepper hair, probably from the stress of this hi tech world we live in. My wife and I have only lived in TX for 1 year, before lived in Ohio and WV, have a son in Wis & daughter in TN.

Keep it up to meet your goals and don't get passed by an old man...  Happy Trails....

hey, I thought you were running this morning, change in plans and you biked instead. Good job.. Do you do your biking at the gym? If so what residence would be about the same as outside?

Looks like you did the abs. I hate abs but need to get busy. The Holidays were not kind to me weight wise.

Not from the marathon anymore but from all the food I ate during the holidays, ha ha . 8 in the morning? I guess I will need to skip my ab workout in the morning and run instead.. I don't really enjoy working on my abs, it hurts too much... I know why it hurts, it's because I need to work them more often.

Well, I signed up to work with Bob Wallace to prepare for the Boston Marathon. I am surprised at how stiff I still am from the White Rock. I remember this from my last marathon. It took me a long time to fully recover so this plan may be optimistic. If I can do this, I will and run Boston in April. If it proves to be a bit much, I may start pressing more cross training and get in triathalon shape for the summer. His training schedule is pretty aggressive. We hit the ground running this week with 37 miles and go to 44 miles next week. That is a lot of mileage for me. Stay tuned....

My runs are only between 4 and 8 miles so I am able to run them faster. Haven't decided on next race yet. Going to work on overall fitness for the next several weeks because I slacked off the weights the last month and 1/2. M ight even get the bike dusted off and see if I can keep up with your riding. What are you getting into next?
