I'm a has-been runner that's going through a rebirth of sorts. After having slowly given up the athletic endeavors of my youth over the past 10 years, I am now (slowly) beginning to rediscover the events that brought me so much joy while in my 20's and 30's.
Running has always been one of my favorite sports, but I am getting back into triathlons as well. You'll find me running on the Katy Trail, White Rock Lake or in Lake Highlands.
I volunteer at a number of local races, and recommend that all my friends volunteer at a race before they ever complain to a race director about something bad at a race.
My favorite race is the Dallas White Rock Marathon! My assignment is to greet runners at the finish line and then help pick up trash after the race!

Hola.I am now down in San Antonio for the school year starting Programs at KIPP University Prep School. Its a school for inner city kids that gets them to and through college. We have started a running program much like the Oak Cliff Racing program in Dallas. Rock and Roll San Antonio has brought the kids into the race. They are so excited. I just recent came back and ram with my kids fro Oak Cliff, the ones that ran in White Rock thanks to you. What a blessing! All of the kids from both areas are wanting to make an inpact at White Rock this year. What do you think? Is it possible to bring the army of kids back to the great race? I could have 15 or more from Dallas and San Antonio, all under 16. Could we possibly make this happen? We are working to earn the San Antonio entries. I would be honored if we could earn our way into White Rock? I would love to speak to you and hear how things are going. I have been truely blessed. I second that! We from Oak Cliff Owe you! That was a fantastic experience that neither I or the kids will forget! They were inspired. All 5 went non-stop! Even the young one who you saw me with at the Turkey Trot. He was a different kid. They just need opportunities. Give them one, and they will succeed. Give them a second, and they will excel! They are already talking about the Rock and Roll Half or trying a full! haha
