I won't hold it against anybody who didn't show up this morning to slog through the cold, wind, and rain.  We were smart to cut things short at Belmont, especially as several folks were well on their way towards a mild case of hypothermia.  That's the kind of run that puts hair on your chest.  By the way, I'm in the market for some waterproof gloves...or maybe some baggies.

Jose, I requested the change to your name last night. It hopefully will be changed soon.

It's nice to see that it promptly stopped raining once our run was completed.  Ugh.

Amen, brother Chris.  All the brave souls that showed up today are bona-fide running rockstars!  Short of an actual marathon, that was the toughest run I've had to date.  I wasn't particularly fond of the "Attack of the Shakes" (and I don't mean chocolate or vanilla, but the whole-body-vibrating-why-can't-I-warm-up kind) on my way home.  I've got to believe that when we run into less then perfect conditions in a race, those who showed up today will have something they can reach back to ("Hey, this isn't nearly as tough as that training run on March 20!") that will give us a distinct advantage to those who opted for that warm, cozy bed or pleasant treadmill makeup session.  (Full Disclosure: Once we hit the lake, I sure was wishing I was one of those people :-) ).

Way to hang tough ... Good job, gang!

A HUGE shout out to everyone who came out to run.  That was easily one of the toughest runs I've had in a long time.  My hands are still numb and the sideways rain at the lake was a killer.  If you can run in this stuff you can run in anything.  You guys showed real fortitude today.  Thanks, Renfro, for sticking around with the water afterward.

Wanna give a big shout out to everyone that ran this morning. I have to say I am alittle disappointed that some people skipped out.

Chris - Thanks, I see my name now.  Sorry for being a Paininthea**

Thanks Jason, I noticed my last name is incorrect; the correct spelling is VEGA (not VARGA).  If you wouldn't mind making this correction that would be great.

Actually, take another look.  I may have not uploaded them correctly.  You guys are both in the results.

Sorry guys, I feel your pain since I know you were there.  That's what they sent us to post today.

Jose, Kyle and others in my group.  I'll be think'n about you (in my dreams) when you set off for the run in the morning, but I won't be joining you.  I was concerned about last night's forecast for Saturday morning and the possibility that I wouldn't get my mileage in (or would have to focus too much on the weather experience) so I ran my 21 this morning instead at an average 8:10 pace.  Great weather then, hope yours holds tomorrow too.

LOL...mine are not there yet even after two emails and requesting a call back name and number; no response no action.  I'll send a third email like Bill...

Chris - Besides me, I know of at least 3 other people that did not show up on the final results.  I looked for them, too and I did not see them.  I will send another email to dh, this will be my third email.  Thanks for the follow-up. - Bill

I don't wear Uggs, but was more interested in these doctors comments in conjuction with the book I know many of us have read Born to Run.  Very interesting how there are so many different thoughts on this subject of foot support.
